Nursery Associate – Full-Time Seasonal
Morden Nurseries is looking for full-time seasonal sales associates! We need an outgoing individual who enjoys working with customers, someone who can retain and learn product knowledge quickly on a wide breadth of trees, shrubs and garden care needs. An individual who is self-motivated and capable of working effectively independently and thrive in a team atmosphere. Previous plant knowledge an asset but not required.

• Can remain effective during fast paced periods as well as quiet periods
• Ability to stand, walk, lift, bend and carry for long periods of time and be able to handle the physical parameters included in working outdoors in all elements
Job Summary
The nursery associate will assist our customers with product selection, plant care and maintenance. Maintain the nursery appearance and product so that we can provide a clean, welcoming and inspiring shopping experience, as well as a high quality product. They will also periodically be required to provide support to field maintenance operations.
Duties and Responsibilities
• Guide and give advice to customers on product selection
• Assist shoppers in choosing the right plants for their yard
• Provide quality care in the watering and maintenance of trees and shrubs
• Receiving and unloading of plant material
• Keeping the nursery clean and tidy. Includes sweeping, use of leaf blower, weeding and merchandising
• Support, care and maintenance to other departments
